Why you'd want to live in Leschi (Central Seattle)
Leschi is a pretty neighborhood that’s a bit off the beaten path when you come to think of typical neighborhoods in Seattle. To put it quite simply, it’s a hidden gem. Leschi’s unique name comes from Chief Leschi of the Nisqually nation. It’s perfectly perched atop Lake Washington with wonderful views of the harbor and is home to a very casual business district. You’ll see bobbing boats in the harbor, cyclists out biking for exercise in the fresh air, manicured green spaces, extensive hiking trails, and a handful of popular restaurants including Daniel’s Broiler, Pert’s Deli, and Meet The Moon. Leschi has a very laidback and relaxed feeling about it thanks to its scenic beauty, lovely parks, and overall low-key vibe. It’s close to downtown, but far enough away to give you that small town feel that’s perfect if you want to raise a family or simply want to escape the typical “hustle and bustle” of the big city. This is lake life at it’s very finest.
